J is for Jumping Rope

I was trying to think of something with a "J" that pertains to my blog.  Jumping rope "jumped" out at me ... oh, I know.  Groan.  Anyway, that sense of humor is from my father, so it's not like I can help it. Jump rope.  Right.  I thought to myself, "that's fun."  Like the basketball I've been playing, jumping rope is fun and a challenge.  I haven't jumped rope in years, and I have more jiggly bits than I had then as well.

I don't care.  I'm going on Friday (payday) to buy a jump rope.  I want to be able to do it as fast as Jillian Michaels, or Danielle - this year's Biggest Loser winner.  I really think I could do a few at a time and build up.  I used to love it as a girl.  I was pretty good at double dutch, too.

Hmm ...  I think I want that jump rope the most, so I can play with my niece, Bella.  She'd like that. :)
I'll check in later ...

  2. In the UK, we call them skipping ropes and the double jumps, bumps. It is thought to be a great way of keeping fit; maybe I should take it up again.
