B is for Basketball

For those regular readers of my blog, I am doing an A-Z blog-a-day challenge, so each day will be a different "lettered" topic.  Today is "B" for my beloved basketball.

I love it.  My hubby and I are having so much fun together.  We go down to the park, just about a mile, and play till I'm tired.  I'm up to 20 minutes, but going for 40 this week.  When we play, we go for a round of H-O-R-S-E, keep away, and just bouncing and making shots over and over.  You'd think I'd get bored.  I love the satisfaction of sinking the ball in the net, and I'm playing with my husband, so it's all that much better.

Look, I'm 45 and out there playing basketball.  At 300 pounds.  You can do 30 minutes, too!

When I get brave and strong enough, I will actually walk to the park, play, and then walk home.  Now, that's a workout!  Playing makes me feel like a kid again, and I think we sometimes forget to do that - feel young.  I suggest playing a game, no matter what, this weeknend.  It will make you feel a lot better.

  3. Way to go! I love your encouragement for everyone just to take the time to "play." How true! We forget to do that as adults, but it's so important! Good luck with the A to Z challenge! I'm also taking part. :)
